Is SIP Trunking Compatible with my Phone System?

However, some SIP providers may have slightly unique integration that must be reviewed before choosing a carrier for SIP transport. Some PBX systems are capable of connecting directly to SIP trunks as long as the PBX manufacturer has certified its integration with specific carriers. In other situations, a SIP conversion is possible to mimic standard POTS lines or T1/PRI, which can eliminate the need for carrier/PBX certification.
